What happened to the MJ8 "mega-me" skins?

Prior to the arrival of MC9, there were a host of "mega-me" skins for MJ8.  Those same skins listed under "mega-me" off the MJ "Skins" page now state "Download for v9.0".  Isn't v9.0 Media Center?  If true, why is this listed under MJ and not MC?

Regardless, can these skins still be used for MJ8?
