Critical error #10
« on: April 18, 2004, 08:26:20 am »

I am trying out Media Center 10 on the 30-day demo but after running for a couple of minutes it always gives me a "Critical Error #10" message. I have tried reinstalling the program but it makes no difference. Can anyone help please?

Thanks. I've already done that but it makes no difference. It keeps saying: "Media Center has encountered critical error #10. Some essential component is missingor corrupted."

It's the latest version (Mediacentre100116.exe)  and I am running WinXP with SP1.

Did you install a crack?  That can cause problems.

Try this thread also:

Thanks, JimH. I followed the tip in the other thread about uninstalling it and then deleting all Registry references to JRiver.

I've now reinstalled the program and all is running fine.

I may well decide to buy it at the end of the 30-day trial period!
