I may have to post an avatar of my baby too to up the number of geetar related avatars...mine is a custom built Patrick Eggle New York (a sadly now defunct English Luthier).  Personally built for a friend of my dads who then decided he didn't want it as he had too many guitars already.  Absolute bargain...got it for £250 wheras it had cost him £650.

That sounds great. Not shown on that website is my recently-acquired 1968 Fender Telecaster....I have a new baby....       and it was a gift so it was free

Those older Tele's were very sweet, my favorite electric (although I am primarily a bassist and acoustic guitarist) . . .  I had one back in the early 70's.  At least I had one untill one night when I was at band practice and the bass player didn't show up (we thought he was home practicing but noticed he had left his bass at practice the previous friday) so I picked up his bass and we started to jam.  
Next thing I know they were voting to make me the new bassist and I am trading my Telecaster and my amp for Fender Precision and a 200 watt Laney bass stack.    
Unfortunately, I no longer have that either

Washburn XB200, the set-neck makes a tremendous difference and the DiMarzio P-Bass and J-Bass pickups don't let any of the sound get away.  She sounds and plays extremely well.

I had a Seymar[?] Kind of junk at $2 and 23 cents,  NEW i mean.

The bass was no good , the player not better than the guitar.
But both of them had funny time.

She looks like a lovely instrument...my next buy is going to be a cheap guitar that I can abuse as I don't want to damage my Eggle  Probably a cheap Mexican Strat or similar that can be samshed up and rebuilt easily...that's if I ever get my new band sorted.  The other one folded when I left and now the new one is just getting off the ground with some of the people from the old one...all a bit tangled but should be good if we get going...the old band played all original material and we had over 20 of our own songs but that was also one of the worst things about it as we had othing to pull people in...everything was always new to them...we needed a few covers for them to say "Yeah I know that one" but the singer was very anti-covers...One of the main reasons it folded really...singers and their attitudes

Here is the aforementioned 1968 Tele....



You'll notice that the stock neck pickup was replaced with a Gibson humbucker, meaning it was also routed and the value was killed years ago by the original owner. He also sandpapered off the finish and filed down the frets, which drives me crazy. But I'd never sell it anyway -- it was given by my fiancee's father as a gift this summer (just got engaged Friday and I'm very excited!  )  

Next up for me is a cheap Mexi Strat. I already have a Mexi Strat, but I replaced the stock pickups with Blue/Silver/Red Lace Sensors, then I replaced those with Texas Specials. but now I want the Laces back so I'm gonna get another Mexi and put the Laces in the new one....

Ooooo ... someone else who loves Eggle's!

I adore my Berlin ... but the varnish is a bit chipped due to several "accidents" while playing

Course I forgot there were some people in here who would know about Eggles  I think they were fantastic guitars...was a shame it all went a little pear shaped.  The guy who was the main technician for them, Pete Allen, who actually built my guitar, is now the guitar tech for our local guitar shop in Leamington Spa so whenever I have a problem I actually get to send it back to the luthier who made it!! Pretty Neat...

Mine is just stained wood, no varnish as such.  Looks great but rather than chipping I get the occasional dints in the wood

Crow...that tele looks pretty nice.  Shame about the pickup change as I imagine it loses some of that tele style twang...
