Hi,

is there any possibility to make the "Wireless Optical Desktop Elite"-Set (Keyboard and Mouse) from Microsoft work with Medie Center 10? The Media-Controls (Play/Pause, Stop, Next, Previus) are only working with Windows Media Player.

Regards,

Nick

I have the wireless Optical Desktop (not sure if it's Elite) and I just programmed all the keys myself using mjextman commands.  This works perfectly.  To do it just go to Control Panel> Keyboard and select the Key Settings Tab.  Now select the relevant key e.g. Play then select the Edit button followed by 'Start a program, web page or file'.  In the dialog type the following commands for the relevant buttons:

Media key:                mjextman.exe /Power
Play / Pause key:      mjextman.exe /MCC 10000,0
Stop key:                  mjextman.exe /MCC 10002,0
Prev Track key:         mjextman.exe /MCC 10004,0
Next Track key:        mjextman.exe /MCC 10003,0

I hope this was useful.

This is my first post for a while as I've been busy getting ready for Christmas and then recovering from too much beer.  If you celebrate Christmas I hope you had a great time.  If you don't but live in the western world I hope you enjoyed the time off work.

All the best to you all.
