I am crashing out of MC about 2 sec after hitting the start button with MC Recorder.  MC 11.0.245 on XP.  Sound card is RME Digi96/8.  I can record with other software such as Windows Sound Recorder and Cool Edit.  It also crashed under 11.0.218, and I had not tried it in versions prior to that.

I would like to rip in my vinyl, and really like the track look up function of MC.

On a side note, is there a way to set the recording bit depth and freq inside MC (ie 24/96)?  And do any of the lossless compression formats support higher than 16/44.1 ?

I'm also crashing on MC 11.0.298 (experienced the same problem with 292). My setup is as follows:

Encoding
1. Encoding for: Sound Recorder
2. Encoding Type & Quality: Uncompressed Wave
3. I’ve unchecked the Normalize, Delete Temporary Files, and Rip and Encode simultaneously

Recorder
1. Recording Device: Sound Blaster Live Value (Same result with my laptop whose device is Sigma Tel Audio)
2. Recording Source: Line-in (Same result with Microphone)

With those settings the recorder begins to record and after about 6 seconds suffers an unexplained fault and shuts down. The Microsoft window saying Media Center has closed for an unexplained reason opens, asking if I want to report the problem.

With essentially the same setup, I can record successfully using the MusicMatch Recorder.

Please try the next build. It should be fixed.
Sorry, but the sound recorder only outputs 16 bit 44.1khz files currently.
