Import Playlists?
« on: July 15, 2005, 03:24:35 pm »

How can I get the playlists I created in MC10 on one computer to play on a different computer with the exact same audio files and MC11.  I don't want to have to create them all over again after moving to a new computer.

Are the files in the same place in relation to each computer? You can export a playlist (or all Playlists) -- check the File menu -- and then Import them into MC on the other computer -- the same way you import songs. But this requires that the whole path & name of the files be the same.

Or make a library backup on your old PC, copy the media files (and the cover art folder if you use it) to identical locations on your new PC and restore the library backup.

MC11 can restore backups made with MC10. Restore takes only a few seconds. You don't have to reimport the files. I started my current main library over three years, four MJ/MC versions and several PCs ago.
