Removing all 1d3 tags?
« on: March 02, 2006, 01:08:31 am »

When removing all id3 tags from mp3 files, do the files get re-encoded? Does this result in loss of sound quality?

Thank You,

Unlike many other programs MC is good for cleaning redundant, broken or incorrect tags all at once.

Most other programs cannot separate the tag removal from database synchronization and there is no way to clear all file tags without losing the metadata.

Since MC keeps the useful and corrected tags in the database the process is simple:
1. Remove Tags
2. Update Tags (from library)

The old tags may be corrupted.
