...maybe this wishes could be fullfilled until next x-mas *g*

1. Search-cache list..a one click feature to get the search parameters I typed in again after changing views. (Tired of typing the dup search every time again)

2. remember the status and selection in the different "tree-parts"
    (to switch between the views and having the "old" selection)

3. the option to configure the doubleclick on a file to "preview" a sound file over another ZONE...for party and djs wonderful to prelisten without having to switch zones every time

4. a dsp that is able to eq./volume control  the single boxes of a 5.1 system...the back speakers in my room are too quiet

5. the option to sort foreign language articles like for example in german "der, die, das" like the "the" in english... would be nice to config by user with a list of words

6. the option to "append" a tag field to the string in another tag field
example:

Artist: Police
Song: Roxanne
Comment: Remix XYZ

>>> change in

Artist: Police
Song: Roxanne (Remix XYZ)
Comment: [empty]

7. The option to handle "READ ONLY FILES"..to swich them editable !! how often the consistence of my lib was crashed cause some new files couldnt be tagged and the program didn't gave me the choice to make them writeable

This would be to wonderful to be true  I’d like to see this feature!

I never used this option but I often read about this wish here at interact. Because MC got multilingual now, I think now its time to ad this “feature”.

There already is solution for number 6. Well, kind of.
You could use rename from tags and then fill properties from filenames.

For example use rename [Artist] - [Name] ([Comment])
and you get:
Police - Roxanne (Remix XYZ).mp3
Then fill properties from the filename [Artist] - [Name]
and finally clear the comment field.

I know that there are three steps to do this but still it is better than doing
the whole thing by typing.

I Did a poll, just to see what other users like to see in this wonderful program

Number six should be quite simple.  All they have to do is check the tag editor and scan it for [comment] or whatever just as it does in the search field and other areas.  This is a very useful tool and it seems like 1) it should already be built in...surprised it isn't and 2) it shouldn't be a lot of work to implement.

i'm not able to program anything and so I don't know what is simple and what would make a big...

But I think the headphone feature is just the missing menupoint (With zones most of the technical work is done)..and I don't understand why the developers ignore this wish to play music on a party and prelisten it quickly since 2 versions of this wonderful program. I for myself have a pub, and I wished to use this programm in live equipment since years, and the only reason why not was this missing feature. So I sortet everything with mc and used a professional dj program just to play my playlist and beeing able of prelistening.

I cannot understand,that the developers wouldn't see the benefit of having their mc running in severel "pubs" "shops" etc....I was min. once per day (when i was sorting music in background) asked by a customer "what program is running there and playing the music"..so it's free advertisment
