Is it possible to start MC with library in read/only mode?
« on: October 16, 2006, 05:15:02 pm »

Here is scenario:
One user is running MC on TV monitor. This user is set up to log in automatically and start MC when computer reboots.
Other user accesses it remotely to manage library. So after reboot first user locks library and other user can't modify it.
I'd like to have media center to start automatically but to have library in R/O mode so other user can still manage it.

Is it possible?
Thanks
Alex

Not currently.

The locking is a very new feature.  It may grow depending on demand.

It may grow depending on demand.

I would like it to have the capability alexgit described.  For me, open main PC for Tivo playing through Tivo Server (first one running in read only), then be able to connect through Library Server with my laptop and make tagging changes.

Thanks
