When I click (or hold the mouse over) the Audio item the tooltip hides the Artist/Album tree item - for me its nasty - the tooltip doesn't show much information either ...

There used to be an option in previous versions to hide tooltips for the tree like there is with track info. For some reason its missing in 106. I usually turn all tooltips off.

you know you can just click through it?

For me, "Audio" is my artist/album view.

pane 1 = if(isequal([album artist (auto)],/(multiple,8),/(various/),if(isequal(mid([artist],0,4),the,1),mid([artist],4,1),mid([artist],0,1))
pane 2 = [album artist (auto)]
pane 3 = [album]

don't use the panes, use the library browser, (aka tiles view)

Actually you have to click on the tooltip twice to get thru it.

Also, if you're trying to rename or edit a long "artist" name in the tree, the tooltip won't let you click thru until you widen the tree view to show the whole name.

not sure about the renaming thing, but here, one click deffo goes through the tooltip and loads the viewscheme laying beneath. tried it using noire, and opus mc (blue) skins.

it's disturbing - thats all - even if I can click through.

I tend to agree on the whole tooltip thing.  It just gets in the way, and doesn't provide me any tips.
