Hello folks.

I am looking for a video joiner that will work with avi with no sync issues. Currently I am using "All Video Joiner" which is OK, but it runs at 1 FPS, so it takes about a day to join 2 hours of video. Does anyone know any better video joiners?

I don't know exactly what you're trying to do, but if you just want to edit a few random AVIs together into a solid piece you can just use VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod, or Nandub.  Another option would be to script it through AviSynth and have VirtualDub convert the script (this would require that you know how to use AviSynth though which isn't always so easy).

I'd probably just use Nandub.  It's easy and it can do direct stream copies even with Variable Bit Rate source files.  Here's a nice guide from Doom9:

Cheers mate, I had tried VirtualDub but because the videos had variable bit rates (out by 0.000000008 I think) it wouldn't work.

MP4Box is what you need for that.  It might actually handle the AVI content too, especially if you want to output to MP4.

I'd probably check out YAMB, as it includes a compiled version of MP4Box with the installer, and looks to contain all the features you'd need.  http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=93927

EDIT:

Be aware though, since MP4Box doesn't re-encode the video (just remuxes it) when joining two or more clips together, this very important caveat applies:

for joining to work the same features have to be used in both streams.

This means that the original encoding settings have to be essentially identical on all of the source clips.  Otherwise, it won't work!
