Artist - Album
« on: October 19, 2010, 04:40:00 am »

"I use J River Media Centre 15 and I like the program very much.
It runs on a PC with Windows7 – 64 bit

This is my problem:  I always arrange the albums in the order “Artist – Album name”.  I apply the same M.O. with self made compilations of Artists. I want Media Centre to exactly adopt this M.O., but it doesn’t. It always interprets things in its own way.
Also, the program doesn’t “see” various “Artists – Albums”, and puts these where you can’t find them, and consequentially can’t play them. I use FLAC and/or WAV files exclusively.  What I really want is that the program reproduces the library lists in the lay out I make for them."

Do you mean [artist album (auto)] making by myself?
[album  artist (auto)] is standard in MC

what i mean is to use
[album artist (auto)] instead of [artist]. when you use the sxtandard artist album (year) field from mc, then you get artist and various album artists are all over the place, when you use the [album artist (auto)] it will use the (multiple artists) instead to organize keeping compilations together.
that is what you are after?

or are the files not rightly putted in one folder together and because of that are not recognized as multiple artist albums? when you look in the tags for such an album, or a song from it. when showing all tags what does it say under the tag 'album type'?
