I just downloaded Asio4all and now the sound only comes through on my laptop, not the system.  How do I get it to play back through my speakers?

Welcome.

JRiver does not recommend Asio4All.

To get playback working, follow this guide:

Thank-you Matt, I miss read that section and thought ASIO was preferred, it reconfigured my whole system and cost me $75.00 for a technician to get my files back.  Kernal streaming seems to work but I can't figure out how to get JRiver to read the files directly off my external hard drive.  It seems to only play them if I download the to the laptop but that does not have enough memory for all my files.  How do I get JRiver to recognize the external hard drive?

ASIO is the real thing with low latency, etc... A4A should be called ASIOnot
