Hi,

I really love JRiver MediaCenter, but there is one thing that makes me crazy:

I was not able to set a 100% view for all my videos as Standard. If I double click a video it is allways opend with the option "fit to windows". For every video I double click, I have to go to "window" --> "100%". I was not able to set the 100% view as Default, until now.

Is there an option to set 100% view as default? So that all videos in my library I double click will be opened in 100%?

I use a german version of JRiver MediaCenter, so it could be that the Options / menu points are slightly different...

If you set [Playback Info] to:

(1:2)(12:CenterOffset)(3:0,0)(11:ZoomPercent)(3:150)
I think that should play that video at 100%.

Can I ask why you are wanting to play back videos at 100% by default, and not scaled to fit the screen though?

thanks a lot for the answer. I have a lot of Youtube videos in my library with low resolution. If you play these video in full screen the quality is horrible - if you play them with 100% the quality is ok...

Could you please tell me where to insert the "(1:2)(12:CenterOffset)(3:0,0)(11:ZoomPercent)(3:150)" ?

If you enable tagging (hit Alt+Enter on a file) and click the icon on the top left of it, you can add Also Show > Playback Info or if you are in a "Details" list view, you can add it as a heading by right clicking one of the columns and adding one for Playback Info.

And as a shortcut.

You could create (or switch to) a master view that lists all your video files in your library in one pane,  then use  CTRL+A  to select them all.    Paste that into the correct tag field,  and apply it to all of them at the same time.   Maybe there is a better automated way to do that to, but I don't remember.  But it works pretty well for making a quick change to a single tag on all files.

You could probably set up something for auto-import that would tag the files with that if they are under a specific resolution.

Thanx a lot for all these answers, but ...

... "(1:2)(12:CenterOffset)(3:0,0)(11:ZoomPercent)(3:150)" doesn't set the 100% view for every video. If I toggle manually to 100% I get for one Video "...(3:247)" and for another "...(3:147)" and so on. It seems different for each Video...

Any other ideas?

Ah, it must be based on the original size of the video? Unfortunately, I'm not sure what else to try.

While it's not the answer you're looking for, have you tried Red October HQ using SoftCubic scaling for the videos? You might find them tolerable fullscreen with that.
