JRiver 20 hangs when playing any video [Solved]

I decided to try JRiver today, and now I want to buy it, but I can't figure out why it keeps hanging. It happens with both the standard and HQ Red October. Basically what happens is the GUI responds but appears frozen, and the video keeps playing. If I stop the video and try to play it again the entire window hangs.
One time I actually received an error message stating that MadVR had crashed, so I have a log from that as well.

If there's any other information you need please let me know.

I wouldn't buy it until we get your problem solved.  ;)  That's why they have the full featured 30-day trial.  We encourage you to use it.

Thanks for the logs.  I'll try to look at them in the next day or so.  But, for now, have a look at:

Totally guessing without looking at your stuff yet, it is video card drivers.  But try to look for patterns, and report anything you noticed, and maybe while you wait, look at:

Breakpoint, speaking from personal experience, with glynor on your case you're in good hands.

If you follow his advice, I rate your chances of getting your issues sorted.

On a side note you get brownie points from me by posting a log. Smart move.

I can use Nvidia Shadowplay to record what happens then upload it here if that helps. I will have to find a copyright-free video to do it.

OK it was EVGA Precision X that wasn't playing nice with Red October.
So I just need to close Precision X when I'm not gaming.

You should switch to MSI Afterburner.
I have had no issues leaving it running with ROHQ playback and I don't like what EVGA did with Precision X.
