Printing using Pass Through
« on: November 18, 2010, 04:49:11 pm »

Odd behavior today

I was printing using PASS THROUGH method (ansi) but today nothing comes out of the printer. It was working yesturday, and today it just stopped.

On a different computer i tried printing to a DELL 1110 laster printer, but the best i can do is blank pages.

I also tried to print to PDFFactory Pro as an intermediary but that yeilds a blank page for both computer.

Any ideas?

Can you give more details?
What version of Pro are you using?
What version of Windows?
Did anything change, I assume the Unix machine didn't change, was there a windows update or virus scanner update or some such?
What app are you using on Unix to do the pass through printing?
What kind of printer on the machine that originally stopped working?

Any ideas?
Is the output from the Unix app preformatted for laser printers or is it just lineprinter text?
