Changing Terminal Type
« on: June 02, 2004, 10:03:56 am »

We have an application which requires the use of a Wyse60-24 line terminal type.  One of our customers occasionally gets an error message indicating the wrong terminal type is being used.  I was able to duplicate this error by switching my terminal type to VT-220 7-bit.   Is there any reason why the default profile would change?

Changing Terminal Type

The default should never change unless you are using global profiles (and if you were you would know it). I would check the host edit box to see if perhaps you have more than one entry for the same host with a non-default profile for one of them. Also, there are escape sequences that can change the terminal type on the fly but you would not expect to see these in normal application usage.
