For use on further installs I assume??

Create a profile on any existing installation.
Export it.
Put the exported profile into the TCP5_USER/data directory on the licenseadmin server.
It will now be available for future network installs from TCP5_USER

The exact error message that appears on version 5.1 is "there was an error reading the profile you selected". It only occurs on two computers in the network and when I installed it on another computer the installation went smooth with no error's. I am assuming that it is something in my registry so would you be able to help me with removing it so I can do a clean install?

Just remove the J.River folder in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software registry entry and rerun TelnetPRO. It will create a new default profile without having to run configwizard.

When I try to delete it from that key I get another error "Cannot delete J. River: error while deleting". I then did it in safe mode but when I boot back regularly it re-appears. What would you suggest?

You must run as the user that is having the problem to see the HKEY_CURRENT_USER setting. The SAFE mode HKEY_CURRENT_USER is not the same as the one you are running.

It sounds like you may have an old version. Did you read the sticky message:

http://yabb.jriver.com/ice/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=210

It tells how to change permissions to be able to delete the entries under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
The same principals apply to HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

Remember, domain controllers change the rules about permissions. You can log into a windows machine as a user of the MACHINE or a user of the DOMAIN.

Check the terminal type in the profile, maybe someone changed it. Make sure it matches the terminal type on a working machine. If you updated any part of your windows and you are not running a very current version of PRO (help->version info) you may need to update pro.
