   Ever since all of our PC's were upgraded to Windows 2000 Professional, we are encountering the following error.

   Users will be connected to an AIX host, and then, while they are typing, the background color will turn to white.  When this happens, they need to hit number keys mutiple times in order for numbers to appear.

  We are using ICETCP Pro version 5.1.09

I assume you are using the 3151 terminal type. This is the norm for AIX. Make sure you are set to 3151 and 24 (not 25) lines. Logout and back in and try it again.

If you still have trouble, try importing this profile:

ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/TECH.SUPPORT/profiles/3151.cfg

It defaults to the normal 3151 terminal settings for colors which may also be your problem.

  We are using the WYSE60 terminal type.  Some users use 25 line, others use 24 line.

Unless you have modified the terminfo on AIX, it doesn't have any idea of what a 25 line wyse60 is.  On connect, the terminal type passed to the AIX machine when it's in wyse60 24 line mode is
WYSE60
When it's in 25 line mode the terminal type passed is
WYSE60-25

For example, when I check to see if my AIX machine recognizes this terminal type it says:

$ infocmp wyse60-25
1371-001 Terminal wyse60-25 is unknown.

So, you should use the 24 line setting. If an app needs 25 lines it will send out an escape sequence to enable the 25th line.
