Connection Refused
« on: January 21, 2005, 03:47:35 pm »

I have a XP machine giving me a connection refused on the start up of a telnet session.  Version 5.1.0.9 I think, this version I have running on 15 or so other machines. Receiving valid IP from DHCP server.  ANy help would be appreciated.

Change the port from telnet to 23 in your connect line. See many other posts here on this subject. Search for "23"

If that doesn't work, your PC is blocking outgoing port 23, or your Unix machine is blocking your PC IP or you have a firewall in between blocking 23. Check your firewall settings.
