Telnet to a port other than 23
« on: February 15, 2006, 05:16:18 pm »

I am using Ice TCP Pro version 5.1.07.  Ineed to telnet to a port 3389 the customers router has 3389 port forwarded to the SCO servers IP port 23.  I can't telnet to port 23 because the customer ISP uses 23 for router support.  When I enter an address of xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:3389 I get a can't display page error.

I set up Hyperterm and it asks for an ip address and a port and it connects right to the SCO server but the emulation sucks......  How do I do this with ICE TCP Pro?

Type in the host address in the host address box, click in the protocol box. Change telnet to 3389, hit enter. You should get a login and the host will be saved with the port in the hosts lists.
