ICE.TCP Plus & Yahoo Messenger
« on: August 12, 2009, 02:12:35 pm »

I have a customer using ICE.TCP Plus. Build 27 Version 7.10a/32. Their having an issue with the new yahoo messenger program where the ice.tcp plus will take a long time to come up to a log in or not at all. Is there a work around for something like this?

Perhaps it's a dns error? Are they trying to connect to the unix server by name or IP address?

They're connecting based on the ip address. They say that the screen comes up and its black for a long time and then finally connects after several minutes. This has only occurred after they updated the yahoo messenger.

It looks like yahoo messenger is blocking a font change message from Plus. We've tested a patch that works around the problem and it seems good here. Please contact sales (612-677-8200 and hit 0 to get the operator) and they'll send you a patch.

I don't see which patch version we need.  Can you please let me know which patch version?
