Title: Error box received when installing ICETCP Pro on Windows 7 64 bit PC
Post by: Advantage Support on January 23, 2013, 10:23:13 am
We have successfully installed ICETCP Pro 5.1.28 onto several Windows 7 64 bit PC's.
We have one PC that we cannot do the install on.
When we run the setup, we are prompted for the language that we want to use.  We select the language and click OK.
The progress bar gets to 99%, and then an error box comes up.  The error box has a 'X' in the middle, and an OK button at the bottom.  There is no error message in the box.
I re-booted the users PC, and tried the install again.  I got the same message.
Can anyone tell me what is causing the error box?
I couldn't figure out how to attach a print screen of the error box.

The install needs to write to the registry, for the duration of the install, disable any anti-virus or other software that would prevent that. If it still doesn't work, I'd check the PC for viruses.
