Title: ICE.TEN Windows 7
Post by: cleartone on October 04, 2013, 05:22:35 am
Hi all thanks for looking in!

Currently using Dejawin / ICE.TEN windows I/f version 5.314 / emulation v. 6.09 on Windows XP all working good.

I have tried installing on a Windows 7 machine as its time for an OS upgrade but am getting an Internal Initialization Error once loading the .DAT file I use on other XP machines.

There was an intial error because Win7 doesn't use autoexec.bat but adding ice=c:\iceten as an environmental variable appears to have cured that.

Has anyone come across this issue?

thanks all  :)

Emulation version 6.09 of ICE.TEN is our 16-bit software program, which generally doesn't work on Windows 7 OS.  If you can provide proof of ownership of the 16-bit version, you can upgrade your ICE.TEN for $135.00.  If you would like to update, you can reach sales at 612-677-8200 Ext. 202.

Just to add to what Deanna said, I'm pretty sure there is no 16 bit emulation on Windows 7 so I don't think there is a way to get that 16 bit version to work.
