Title: ftp-pro 5.19 ..strange problem
Post by: stevej on March 05, 2004, 05:03:29 am
HI,

Have a customer that have a problem using FTPwin where one particulaer user cannot connect to the unic server , they get the message 'computer is disconnected'. I have checked the settings and recreated connections but it always fails (even connecting as root). Starnge thing is that if i drop to a dos prompt, ftp works fine.
They are running the client via Citrix, but all the other Citrix users connect fine, doesnt make sense does it? Cant re-install the client cause it uses the citrix share that all the other users connect to.
Any ideas? Anyone?
(They are using XP clients)

TIA

What happens if a user who gets the failure connects using a different UNIX account (of a user that doesn't fail)?

Thanks for replying.
It doesnt matter whoi you log in as on the client (even root)
it gives the same response.
Dos ftp works though.
I know it sounds like a user error but i just cant see how/where?

Thanks

Thanks Bob,

Set tp PASV and it seemed to work. Cant see why this user needs passive but it works and i am a happie chappie.

Thanks again for taking the time.
