Title: Compatibility with Windows 7

Is version 5.1.28 fully compatible with Windows 7, in particular the FTPPRO feature?  We have been using version 5.1.06 for many years, and now we are preparing to upgrade to Windows 7 and must have FTPPRO working. I read on another thread here (posted by Bob -Admin) back in October 2009 that it did not work - http://yabb.jriver.com/ice/index.php/topic,951.0.html.

Has this now been resolved?

This has not been resolved. The mechanism that FtpPro uses to move files is not available in Windows 7.

Thanks for the reply Bob.  I have since downloaded the trialware of version 5.1.28, installed on a Windows 7 workstation and have successfully exported data from our PICK database on a linux server, using FTPPRO, then imported that data into an Excel spreadsheet.  Possibly other features of FTPPRO may not be working in Windows 7, but for our use version 5.1.28 appears to work for us

Keep in mind that the trialware version will expire in 30 days, even if licensed from a non-trialware license server.

Thanks Deanna, we are currently in contact with a local ICE/TCP distributor with the intention of upgrading to the latest version
