Title: Cannot create new session
Post by: glenr37 on September 28, 2004, 01:04:43 pm
I have added a new user to an existing network.  The user is running XP SP2, and I can telnet in, and hyperterm in, but when I try to run TCP Pro, I get "Cannot create new session - Please run ConfigWizard".  When I run the config wizard, everything seems to run fine, and yet I keep getting this error.  I have turned off the Security Console as well.  Any suggestions?

Thank you for the thread.  I actually figured out what I was doing wrong on my own, though. :)  It turns out I was trying to install 5.1 using 5.0.8 licensing.  After I installed 5.0 first, and then installed 5.1 and pointed it to the 5.0 licensing, it worked fine.  Hope I can save someone else the 2.5 hours it took me to figure this out. :)  Again, thank you for the thread.
