Title: Setting up everyone to auto connect to host
Post by: goal10dr on October 19, 2004, 10:15:09 am
I ws wondering if there is a way to have everyone autoconnect when they log onto a pc.  I have a Telnet Pro shortcut for all users, but when a new user opens Telnet Pro it does not auto connect to the server.  I don't want my users to have to type in the IP address.  How can I set it up one time and have it work for everyone who logs on?

Check this thread, looks like that should do what you want.

I don't see anything on setting up the host IP adress so that everyone that logs on will autoconnect.  Which folder or file does IceTCP Pro use to keep the settings for the edit host list?

The autoconnect setting is in the hosts->edit hosts list selection.

The result is stored in the reigstry under:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\J. River\ICE.TCP\5.0\Hosts

A typical key looks like this:
somehost.somedomain.com|telnet|ansi|1

If there is a 1 at the end instead of a 0 it is the autoconnect host. Of course there can only be one entry with a 1 at the end.
