Title: Config Wizard Problem
Post by: Heath on January 07, 2005, 10:53:16 am
I am having problems installing ICE TCP on a Windows 98 machine.

When I get to point obtaining a sequence number, I put in the path of the license folder and enter the user info and click next.  At this point I either see "There is no license info for your company in this directory" or the next button just greys out and nothing happens.

I have checked permissions on the share and everyone has full control.  I have been able to install other clients on XP and 2000.
There are at least 10 licenses free.

Any thoughts???

Thanks

How are you doing the install?
Same version of the licenseadmin server and the client??
Putting something in the comment field?

Run licenseadmin on the server. It's telling you there are no free licenses. Remember that the place you run configwizard from has to be the same place the license folder is. I'm assuming there are unused machines in you current licenseadmin or you think you have more licenses installed there than you have.

I am running from the same location as my license folder.  Licenseadmin currently shows 10 free licenses.

I have also tried the Export/Import method using a floppy disk with the same result.

I ran the config wiz from the A drive.  The license folder is listed as A:\Licenses.  When I click next, I get the same "There is no license info for your company in that directory."
