Title: ICElp
Post by: jboyd on January 17, 2005, 03:41:48 pm
I have installed TCP-Plus, using SCO Unix server and several WindowsXP Pro machine.  I think I have everything set up properly for the ICElp to work, but everytime I start the program (via toolbar or through shortcut on start menu) it puts a button on the start bar, then a few seconds later I get a windows error message:

icelp has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I then have the choice of sending or not sending an error report.  After that choice is made ICElp stops.

I have the software installed on 3 machines so far and all of the them behave in the same manner.

Post your IceLP settings and tell us what version you are using (help->about dejawint)

Check this link:
http://yabb.jriver.com/ice/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=35;start=msg79#msg79
for debugging IceLP. Try doing the telnet from your windows box, i.e.

start->run
type in

telnet 192.168.123.50 2346

See if you can do the dialog with the server.

If you can't there is something wrong on the icelp setup on SCO. If you can I'm not sure what's up. If you are using XPSP2 you may have to check to see if the outgoing port is being blocked for some reason...
