Title: ftp ver 3.50

I have a win98 , my ftp version is 3.5 when I try to connect
to an AIX server I type my password and ftp became frozen
then I press ctrl-alt-delete and windows show me that
FTP is not responding.

Does someone knows a work-around or a path.

ftpwin can only transfer in active mode. If you are behind a firewall it's probably that you can ONLY do passive mode transfers. The only solution is to use ftp-pro (included with TCP.PLUS and TCP.PRO).
