Title: wrong socket number error
Post by: mds on February 22, 2006, 10:31:57 am
we have been running ICE on this particular machine (win xp pro) for about 2 years and have been having problems lately with this error message.  tried adding more memory (now has 1GB) and 2.79ghz processor - still getting error.  what happens is you start one copy of ICElp and within 5 minutes an error message appears "Unix host 192.168.23.10 does not reply or wrong socket number 2346 for ICELPD.  Terminating ICELP." at this point all network connections are lost.  any ideas?

This indicates that the link between your PC and the unix host is not reliable. Is this a lan connection or a wan connection??

I am going to try bypassing the network card in the PC by using a USB to LAN connector and see if it is the network card and then I will repost.  thank you for the reply
