Title: re-installing xp pro from disk

wanting to competely re-install xp pro from from original disk and key, get error the xp is older ver than the one installed, have some corrupt files on drive now, would like to rebuild, any help?                     steve.

Call Microsoft, this isn't an ICE question as far as I can tell! If you don't care about what's on the PC, do a destructive reinstall and reinstall all of the service packs afterwards otherwise it's time to do some google searches...
