Title: Samsung 2510???
Post by: Chris.Hazlewood on December 15, 2006, 11:41:48 am
Customer has a Samsing 2510
http://www.samsung.com/Products/PrinterandMultifunction/BlackWhiteLaserforHomeHomeOffice/ML_2510XAA.asp?page=Specifications

The print launguage says SPL or Samsung Printer Language.  Know anything about Samsung driver?

In the meantime:
Having the customer update Telnet Pro to current version so she can turn on Raster printing.

The customer had a Dell 1700 that died on them.

Is this why the Dell worked with ICE:
     PCL Bitmapped 2
     PCL Scalable 17
     PS Scalable 12 (Mac only)
Note: On the 1710, the PS fonts are only supported on Macintosh hosts

I don't know anything about the SPL. If it seems cheaper than it ought to be it's almost always host based (winprinter).

Yes, because it says that it has 17 Bitmapped PCL fonts and 17 scalable PCL fonts. The fonts themselves aren't really important, the ability to do PCL is!
