Title: 5.1.25 Printing

We're using ICE/TCP 5.1.25 on a Windows 2000 computer.
The user needs to use File:Print to print to any one of several HP printers.

If a workstation needs to just print to one printer, we setup the print button, using Raster as the printer type. This obviously doesn't work in this situation. When she prints a screen from File:Print, she gets 3 pages of smiley faces, and the screen is printed half on one page and half on the other. I can delete the type, but then nothing prints anywhere.

How can I setup to use multiple printers via the File: Print menu? I need to remove the default printer in the Printer setup, but it doesn't let me.

I tried the direct printing fix on a test system, and found that it still wouldn't allow us to print using File:Print.

I did find a workstation that had 5.1.19 installed on it, and File Print works fine. I tried un-installing 5.1.25 and installed 5.1.19, but the Print options came up exactly the same as 5.1.25, and File:Print still wouldn't work.

How can I downgrade ICE/TCP to get that version installed?

Un-installing 2.1.25 and re-installing 2.1.19 worked perfectly!

She's now able to print to any printer.

With the Print changes in the newer versions, was this ability eliminated?

From what I can figure out, as long as you NEVER go into the Printer options, you're able to use File:Print.
The second you go in, it assigns a default printer, and makes File:Print work weird (5 pages, full of smiley faces).

File->Print prints the BUFFER not the screen. Clicking on the printer icon on the tool bar prints the screen only.

after installing an older vresion of ICE.TCP pro do i have to reissue session numbers to everone?

If the PC has already been given a sequence number, you can cancel or exit the User install when you reach the ConfigWizard screen without affecting any sequence numbers.

when printing in raster mode,
Im getting two pages of special characters.
how can i stop this?

See above. You should be hitting the printer icon on the toolbar or doing "print screen" in the file menu or right-click->print->print screen.

If you do file->print you are printing the entire scrollback buffer.
