Title: Can't access Linux system with ICE TCP+
Post by: shealy57 on August 07, 2008, 02:47:10 pm
Have ICE TCP+ installed on an HP Laptop. Was working fine until Palm Desktop program was installed and now the Linux system can't be access. When ICE TCP+ is loaded it shows a black screen with a hour glass and won't do anything else. I have uninstalled the Palm Desktop program, rebooted and still no access. I can access the Linux system through telnet however. This is an older version of ICE TCP+ but it has been working great for a number of years.

Any suggestions?

Is there a Build Number in the version information?  Did you try re-installing PLUS?  If the PC in question has sequence number 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, or can trade with someone that does have one of those sequence numbers, you could try downloading the trialware version to see if that makes a difference.  You could contact our sales office (612-677-8202 or sales@jriver.com) with your serial number for help determining which version/build of PLUS you are running.

The program will not re-install. As far as the sequence numbers, I have checked and there are no duplications. I will call with the Serial number.

Sorry I missed that in your earlier e-mail.  Sometimes you need to disable HP Toolbox in order to install.  Be sure to turn off all virus and firewall programs that might block installation of PLUS.
