Title: "Paste" button starts blinking, affects cursor
Post by: Allison A on October 16, 2008, 11:42:58 am
We are running Telnet Pro 5.1.19 and have seen behavior where the "Paste" button on the Tool Bar starts blinking.  This doesn't seem to happen until the window has been open for awhile, but when it does, it sometimes seems to affect the location of the cursor in the window, as it will show itself to be in one location, while the cursor is actually several rows higher.  This behavior only seems to happen when the "Paste" button starts blinking.

Has anybody else seen this behavior?  I have observed it on at least 10 systems here but it is not consistent, and usually requires the program being open several hours before it happens.

I checked around and this only seems to be affecting people running Vista.  It may have affected some people running XP as well but at the moment, I can't confirm that.  As for the two I can replicate right now, they are on Vista.

Are there multiple sessions of TelnetPro open at the time?
Was the user attempting a copy/paste action?

After some testing, it does appear that it takes multiple sessions of Telnet Pro open before it happens. And though it wasn't in the middle of a copy/paste function, it appears you need to have something in the clipboard for it to happen.

Yes, we can reproduce that. You need to have multiple sessions open AND some unpastable content on the clipboard AND vista. We'll look into it.
