Title: Locking and unlocking XP machines
Post by: blockste on March 02, 2004, 10:31:33 am
We are using Telnet Pro Version 5.081, IBM 3151 (24 Line) emulation going to an AIX box.  Our Windows XP workstations are having problems when the user has a telnet session open and they lock and unlock their computers.

After unlocking, if they hit the "a" key one of the following will happen:
If they are at the AIX login, the screen color changes.
If they are in the application, the "a" doesn't type.

The "a" key is the only key that we have problems with after unlocking.  Locking the computers when unattended is a requirement of our industry.   Because of this issue our Telnet Pro users must exit the application and their telnet session before locking their computers.

Do you have any ideas what might cause this problem?
Thanks,

After unlocking, before typing keys in the app, try hitting and releasing the shift, control and alts keys one at a time. Go back to the app and see if the problem still exists. Post your results.

I have the same problem on PC's with Windows 2000.

After unlocking, if I press shift, control, and alt keys one at a time, the problem does not occur

It's been fixed and will be available in the next build (probably around the end of March).
We'll announce it here when it's released.
