Title: Ice Tcp 5.1 Icelpd redhat5.4
Post by: sjh on November 23, 2009, 07:37:28 pm
Hi folks, I am setting up to migrate a client from SCO Openserver 5.0.4 to RedHat 5.4 (32 bit not 64), including their AcuCobol based ERP system.

They current use Icelp on the Sco server with PC Print from the software on PC's.

Does the 5.1 media contain the installable binary for /use/bin/icelpd and will it be suitable with glibc etc?

My gut feeling is that queues using pass-through printing ( local print, whatever you want ) will be easier to setup, but they like this and would like to keep it if possible.

No networked printers that is causing this issue.

Any ideas, feedback from other installs taht may help?

Many Thanks,

Stephen (NZ)

The current CD's contain an icelpd for linux. Should work without trouble. You can search for cups in the forum on help setting up the print spooler part.
