Title: Vista info
Post by: Bob on November 21, 2006, 02:07:07 pm
We are current offering TCP.PRO with full Vista compatibility. This includes support of "WinPrinters" in ICE.LP.

Trialware will no longer update TCP.PRO (Trialware will timeout after 30 days). Trialware will be online soon.

To purchase an update, see here http://www.icetcp.com/VistaRelease.html

Note, the ICE.TCP PLUS, ICE.TEN and ICE.OFFSITE trialware currently does NOT work in Vista. The Pro trialware is fine.

UPDATE in the next message. http://yabb.jriver.com/ice/index.php/topic,747.msg2751.html#msg2751
Trialware works with vista when installed and run as administrator only

The buy-button option in ICE.OFFSITE and ICE.TEN does NOT currently work.

ICE.TCP PLUS, ICE.TEN and ICE.OFFSITE trialware works on Vista when installed and run "as administrator"

After downloading the trialware, right-click on the trialware icon and select "run as administrator." This must be done regardless of account you logged in as. The installation files should get extracted and installation should proceed as normal.

After installation, right-click the program icon, and select "run as administrator" and the program should run normally. You must select "run as administrator" every time running the trialware version of the program, but shouldn't be necessary when running a purchased copy of the program.

You may also have to click "allow" if a Vista security box pops up when installing or running trialware.

The unrestricted versions of PLUS, ICE.TEN and ICE.OFFSITE must be purchased by contacting J. River (do NOT use the buy-button option).

More importantly - Telnet Pro - is the only part I use. Thanks!

Yes, I've installed and run the CURRENT version in 64 bit mode.
