You need a current version.
The CD version is too old to run properly on Windows 11. contact deanna (at) jriver.com for upgrade pricing. |

I had ICE.TCP PLUS installed on a Windows 10 Pro PC. That PC failed and was replaced by a PC running Windows 11 Pro. Initially we could not find the installation CD so I downloaded the trial version from the website. That installed and works without problem. In the mean time we found the CD but I am unable to install the program using the CD. When I run the Setup.exe file from the CD I see the little animation next to the cursor that indicates something is happening. After a few seconds this animation goes away and no further activity occurs. If I go to Task Manager I see 32-bit Setup Launcher (32 bit) listed as a Background Process with no activity. I use End Task to exit the process. I have tried running Setup.exe as an Admin and using every compatibility mode that is available, with the same results. The back of the CD sleeve shows Bld 1.0.28, Mar2008 and shows a 25-PC license size for Product Name ICE.TCP PLUS. There is a Serial Number listed but I hesitate to provide that on a public forum. This was purchased by RMF Steel Products Co. I would appreciate any help you can provide to help me get the program installed on my new PC. Thank you.

We have a DejaWin system acting as an ERP of sorts. It covers all our accounting, billing, payroll and other associated bookkeeping. It's been in use for over 30 years. We are seeking a way to export data to a format that we can use/manipulate. This could be in CSV, excel, access or some other format. For example, we have monthly financials for our business, we would seek to export those financials so that we can use the data.DejaWin provides a window into your server where the actual application is running. Data export would need to be done on the server within the application itself or with a helper program for that if one exists. The most you might be able to do with Dejawin is start a capture, run a report to the screen, then stop the capture and try to parse it somehow. In Deja32 that's under File->Capture to File. You give it a full path to a file name to start with, ie C:\Users\Bob\Documents\Capture.txt It will then capture everything going to the screen (run your report to the screen now) until you go back to File->Capture to file and close the file. In the TelnetPro client, you get that option by Right-clicking in the main part of the emulation screen. Capture to File. Choose Visible characters, pick a file name and location, run your report, then go back to the same right click option and close the file. |

Thanks for the help here. I did get a successful result with ctrl -] creating the ^] character at the login screen. I am however unable to get the ^] character to appear via a scan of the data matrix barcode at the login screen. Is there a way to perhaps use key mapping or some other means to get the ^] character to appear at the login screen via scanning the 2D barcode? I'm able to get this to appear via the putty emulator, but I really prefer using DejaWinT if at all possible. Thanks,Since you can generate it from the keyboard with control -] I'm having trouble seeing what the problem is using the scanner. The usb scanners that we've used simply generate the characters as if they are being typed on the keyboard and that should work fine with DejawinT (otherwise you wouldn't be able to do it with the keyboard). Does the whole thing work with Putty and your unix app? Can you log into a shell account and try a copy of tests? using one of the following based on whether or not you have them and if they work. hd od -t x1 od -h Then scan in the code hit enter hit control-D You'll get a hex dump of the codes the scanner is getting to the command line. Post the results here, thanks. |

Correct the scanner output is 1D hex, and yes as if were being typed into the keyboard into the emulator. That woulld be typed as ALT + 029.So it won't be a map in, that comes from the unix side. I would expect either map out or maybe a keymap would work. I'd think crtl-] should generate that character from the keyboard, if not it could be that your unix side is silently digesting it. |
