re-install sco ucopy?
« on: April 09, 2004, 02:30:53 pm »

I have ICE.Off.Site version 3.0, and have used ucopy successfully for some time to transfer files from unix to PC (WinXP Pro).

We recently upgraded the sco unix box from 3.2v5.0.4 to 3.2v5.0.7, and now I cannot ucopy files.  I do not see ucopy in /usr/bin.  Did the unix upgrade remove ucopy?

If yes, I assume I need to re-install it, but I cannot find the instructions to do this in the manual.  I have the 4 original floppies of ICE.Off.Site.  What do I need to do to re-install ucopy on the unix box?  Can I install it remotely?

Thank you.

You ucopy is on the ice host diskette. You need to copy it onto the Sco box. into /usr/bin and chmod 755 it. The manual does have instructions on this, it uses doscp to get the file from the dos diskette.

Thank you.  In the meantime, I found it on the sco box in /usr/localbin and copied it from there to /usr/bin. I then did chmod to 755 and all is well again.
