How much data can be pasted
« on: January 25, 2012, 12:53:25 pm »

I have a user asking me how much data can be pasted in ICETCP Pro, via Telnet.  When he tries to paste info, he does not get all of what he needs.

We are currently using version 5.1.25.

I have two questions:
1. How much data can be pasted?
2. Do newer versions of the software have a higher paste limit?

IIRC it was around 1k. I'll check Thursday and post back.

No, however I'd be surprised if it was different. An easy way to test would be to open a document in unix in an editor (say vi in text mode), then copy and paste from a windows document into then TelnetPro screen, save out the file and see how big it is.
I assume you are using TelnetPro and not the classic client (Dejawint)?
