i am trying to setup icelp on win xp pro.  i am using telnet pro 5.1.19

when i start icelp it says - running icelp for 1st time - icelp configuration will now be run.  so i fill in the blanks like i always do but...

after i click ok and it closes and then i open it again i get the same message.  Neither local print nor print host is activated - icelp configuration will now be run.

what am i missing?

Thanks,
Tom

icelp stores the parameters in the file icetcp.ini in your windows directory (usually c:\windows\icetcp.ini).

Check to see if the user can write a file in that directory, if they can't they will be unable to save the configuration.

If icewin.ini is already there, maybe it's corrupt. You can try removing it and the config program will rewrite it (if the directory is writable).

thanks,
icewin.ini wasnt there - even after i ran config as admin
so i copied the file from the old pc to the new and it worked - and it didnt have to run icelp config.
