I am using icelp on several severs successfully.
but, on 1, I keep getting unix host does not reply or wrong socket number when I try to use through the internet. I have icelp set up inside the network and it is working fine on this server. I only get the error going through the internet. I can telnet into the server through the internet and work just fine.
now I've removed and reinstalled the icelpd program, i know it is working, since I get the copywrite info on icelpd -c. I've deleted and reentered the lines in the inetd.conf and services files. (and rebooted) I've compared with my other servers and things look the same. But obviously something is not, since it won't work. Would you have any suggestion on what I am overlooking. I've put the problem aside and than come back to at a later date and still can not reslove.. any help would be greatly appreciated.
