XP PRO SP2 Issues
« on: July 14, 2005, 03:25:33 pm »

 Ver 7.10a/32

Any issues with XP Pro SP2?  We get frequent but random connection disconnects with host.  No prior issues until SP2 upgrades on 12-15 computers.  No other workstation or server changes.

Also frequently getting:
two telnet pro sessions are using identical sequence numbers. Please inform your
administrator that sequence number 2 is duplicated and that this warning message was
sent from 192.168.2.177

Ver 7.10a/32
Which would be the 4.4 version of PRO. Looks like you are getting a router or some such disconnecting. Try updating to the current version and turning on the keepalive timer (search on keepalive in the forums for more info).

Browse to and run configwizard44 on the server from the two machines that are in conflict. One of them will then get a new sequence number.

No routers.  Replaced  3-CISCO managed switches from 4 yr old unmanagemed switches which did not help.

Do you have Deja32.exe unblocked? (\Program Files\J.RIver\ICETCP4\Deja32.exe)

WIndows firewall settings, there is a tab for adding programs individually that are allowed to open up outgoing ports.
