can't locate ConfigWizard file
« on: April 23, 2007, 07:01:08 pm »

I tried to install TCP Telnet Pro on Windows XP, but during installation, it asked me to locate or type in the path for ConfigWizard and i don't know how can i get to ConfigWizard file. I install the software directly from the CD. After installtion, Telnet Pro didn't work since I didn't locate the ConfigWizard file and plus it didn't give me the screen where i can enter the license key and register for the product. Please assist me. Thank you very much.

If you have an existing licenseadmin install you browse to that computer through network neighborhood and into the TCP5_USER share and then TCP-Pro and run configwizard.

If this is a new installation you should pick a machine that will the be central licensing machine, it doesn't have to be a windows server, and install the admin portion on there. When you do you will automatically get the licenseadmin program running and asking you for the license key, company name, etc. When you install a client PC, you don't use the CD, you browse to the TCP5_USER share on your designated central licensing machine and run setup.

This is covered in the install instructions and also in the manual in the /doc directory on the CD.
