I cannot get the insert key to work on ice tcp pro.  I have used ice ten in the past, and it worked.  Is there something I can do to make the insert key work, or can I map another key to work as an insert key?

It should work fine if the terminal type is correct. What terminal type are you using? The two most common are ANSI 25 lines and WYSE60 24 lines. The application and/or the Unix machine depend on this being set right. ICE.TEN could not tell the Unix machine what the terminal type was so it depended on the Unix machine being setup a certain way. PRO can tell the Unix side so if you have the type set wrong in PRO you would get the behavior you are describing.

Try the two type mentioned above and tell us if it works for you.

I usually use ibm3151 25 lines for my term type.  When I use that, the delete key works, but the insert key does not.  I just tried the Wyse 24 line and the ansi 25 lines, and on both the insert key worked, but the delete key did not.
Is there any way to get both to work?

If you are using ibm3151 you are probably connecting to an AIX machine. Try using ibm3151 24 lines.

I just tried IBM3151 24 line, and the insert key did not work but, I did try At&t 605 and the both worked.

Sounds like there is some sort of disagreement between the Unix machines terminfo database and the terminal type. If the 605 works for you that is fine. It's a very good terminal type to use.
