Starting ICElp and DejaWinT from a batch
« on: March 09, 2005, 03:45:24 pm »

Is it possible to start ICElp and DejaWinT from a Windows .cmd batch file?  I would like to make all the steps of establishing a vpn connection, starting ICElp, and loading and logging in with DejaWinT as easy as possible for a user.

I found that in a batch file I can establish the vpn connection okay, but I can only start ICElp or DejaWinT not both.  It appears that once one of them starts it hangs up further execution of the batch file.

I tried putting each jriver app in a separate batch and calling them from the main batch, but this does not work either.  Since I didn't see any applicable cli reference in the ICE.TCP docs, I wasn't sure if there was any way to do this.  So I simply copied the command line from each apps desktop icon and used it in my batch file.

Yeah, I know.  There goes another user venturing down a road less traveled.  If this isn't possible I'll throw it into reverse and head back towards the main road.

Thanks

Try the start.exe command. It will spin off a prgram into the background.
