Getting @ characters
« on: January 02, 2013, 05:27:36 pm »

I had installed ICE TEN trial version 4.7.14 until the company I help bought version 4.7.16. Demo version 4.7.14 was working. Now after installing 4.7.16 we are getting @ characters when we try logging in to both the trial and demo version. It also says that keystroke has no meaning here.

It's possible you are still logged into an application on the unix side, not actually logged out (that is what the message "keystroke has no meaning here" sounds like to me).
You could try hitting escape, or control-c or control-break or some such to see if you can exit whatever application you are in.

Otherwise it can mean that the terminal type or communication parameters are set wrong in DejaWin.

They rebooted the server and it started working. Now a different computer that was working has stopped working and they are getting !!! characters. This machine has a USB to serial connection. Any advise? I tried a different USB to serial connection and and got the same results.
